Previous post regarding new custom columns mapping in EIM table seems very useful for Siebel developers. Especially, the ones that are planning a new move to this territory of Siebel. Brijesh has written it beautifully which you can read from the link below:
SIEBEL EIM – CUSTOM COLUMN MAPPING
I have also applied the same tips given in SIEBEL EIM – CUSTOM COLUMN MAPPING. In one of our implementations, we have number of custom columns in S_ORDER table and have the requirement to update two of the existing custom fields X_TEST_DUMMY_COLS_VALUE and X_TEST_VAL.
Hi All,
After being a mere spectator and a regular visitor of GeeksBlogging@dotCOM for last one month, here is my first post.
In this JMS Transport series I’ll be covering following topics:-
What are Transports?
Different Methods available for Transports
Java Business Service
EAI JMS Transport and Server Setup for Inbound Receiver
How to setup local client for using EAI JMS Transport
How to connect to an MQ server using EAI JMS Transport
Hello all,
We request you all to welcome a new author on GeeksBlogging@dotCOM, Mr Vikas Luthra.
Vikas has been working in Siebel CRM for about four and a half years now. He has worked for clients across the globe and in domains like Telecom, Pharma, BFS, Technology, Healthcare, and Shipping etc.
His core areas of expertise are Siebel EAI, Workflows, eScript, Configuration, Assignment manager.
This one is for all the SOA enthusiasts out there. Oracle has announced the realease of Oracle SOA Suite 11g, on 1 July 2009.
All of us know Oracle as a pioneer in Service Oriented Architecture. Today, Oracle has a domineering presence with its complete set of SOA based products, the Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Webcenter Suite, Oracle Weblogic Suite, and others.
Oracle Webcenter Suite
This is a Portal platform providing a number of functionalities to develop Web based Applications. Its strength lies in its ability to handle change progressively, and its vast ability to connect disparate systems practically connecting people in real time.
This post has a broad focus, not just Siebel CRM. I have briefly alluded to the XML structures in EAI in some of my previous posts:
A meeting with Siebel EAI
FINS Industry XML Query Service
One of the interesting things that came out of the feedback was parsing the XML and the XPath expressions. This is exactly what I will be covering in my blog post today.
The XPath defines the path, or the way that you parse/read/traverse through an XML. The concept is generic in nature. However, Siebel in itself has some limitations in the way that it handles these expressions. I will try to cover both these scenarios here. I will take the following small XML Snippet as an example for better understanding of the same. One of the best ways to understanding this is to refer this structure of the XML is a popular XML Editor like Internet Explorer, Oxygen Editor, Editplus, Altova XML Spy (I like this the best), or any other supported browser.
It’s a very basic concept explaining how we can generate EIM mapping for custom columns. You need to follow some steps as mention in the post below.
This topic was a Tutorial Request from one of the associates on GeeksBlogging@dotCOM. The associate had asked as to how do we map the custom columns created in the BC to the EIM tables.
1. In object explorer select “Table” and query for base as well as for corresponding EIM table. For example here I am taking example of S_ORG_EXT and corresponding EIM table EIM_ACCOUNT. Lock both these tables.
Hi all,
Tapan is back with his contribution on the Actuate Server.
To upload multiple ROX files into the Reports Server Encyclopedia, you can use the Actuate eReport Designer Professional (eRDPro). You might use this approach to upload multiple ROX files at one time or to upload the latest ROX version into the Reports Server. The following steps detail how to do this:
• Open the Actuate eRDPro.
• Go to View > Options and select the General tab.
• Select the check box “Enable navigator menu item and toolbar” and click OK.
• Go to File > Navigator and log in to the Reports Server Volume as the Report Server Administrator.
Enter the specified values in the following fields and click OK:
Username: administrator
