ORACLE announces new release of Coherence

Now, this is going to come as good news to all the Application Grid Professionals.

Oracle Coherence is an in-memory data grid solution from the Oracle stable. It allows organizations to scale mission critical applications by providing fast and reliable access to frequently used data. It enables real time data analysis, in memory grid computations, parallel transaction and event processing, and Application Grid Computing.

Some of the most prominent features of Oracle Coherence are:
Predictable Application Scalability – Applications can be scaled linearly and dynamically, as per the requirement. This enables predictable cost and improved resource utilization.

Improved Service Levels – This reduces Application Response times, thus resulting in faster App Response, while increasing the traction rates.

Automated, Dynamic Data Partitioning – Even in the case of a Server Failure, this would result in continuous Data Availability and Transactional Integrity.

Enables XTP (Extreme Transaction Processing) – Combines distributed data and grid computing power for fast and reliable high-end transaction processing

Active Cache – Applications running on the Oracle WebLogic Server are accelerated by the Cache mechanism.

It is known to support a number of languages, like Java, .NET, C, C++, COBOL, and others. This gives flexibility to the developer, and thus, indirectly provides high quality output, while reducing the Time of Development at the same time.
