Oracle finalizes new Training Partner
Hello,
We reported last week that Oracle has decided to separate with Prometric as its worldwide Training Partner for the Oracle University courses. Beginning September 25, 2009, Oracle University Courses will no longer be offered through Prometric.

Oracle divorcing Prometric
Whomsoever of us has been through the official Oracle Traning through the coveted Oracle University knows about Prometric. Prometric has long been the official training partner with Oracle for all of the Oracle courses offered through OU. But, this seems to be changing as Oracle sees its partnership with Prometric souring out.

Oracle 11g Certification coming soon
Good news for all the Oracle 11g Database Administrator Certification aspirants. Paul has just confirmed that Oracle is soon to launch the OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) Certification for its latest 11g Database Administration.
The beta period for the Certification, “1Z1-053 – Oracle Database 11g: Administration II” closed recently. This is a single exam requirement for ones holding the Oracle DB 11g Administrator Certified Associate (OCA), and gives them the opportunity to upgrade to the coveted OCP.

Oracle Siebel Certification needs hands on training
Now, all of us know that, don’t we. And, I guess most of us crib about it all the time.
Whenever we plan of undergoing an ORACLE Certification, we know that though the cost of taking the actual Exam itself is not all that steep (not that it’s cheap), rather it’s the mandatory course that we have to attend before it that really turns one off. Two most popular reasons I have heard of:

Siebel 8 Certification Update
All of us want to be certified Siebel experts, don’t we? For those in the blue, Siebel CCC (Core Consultant Course) is what we are targetting in this post.
Well, to make it easy for all of us, Oracle has recently release two more certification tracks for Siebel 8.1.x in addition to the existing two for Siebel 8.x. These are:
1) A 15 day course all at one stretch, for Siebel 8.1.x CCC.
2) The course divided in 3 different modules (Tools, Business Automation, and Installation & System Administration). The student may have time gaps in between attending all these 3 courses.
